Day 1 in Udaipur

Karni Mata Temple

I started my Udaipur journey with Karni mata temple, I had early morning train, I reached Hostel and left for temple to watch beautiful sunrise and udaipur city view from this place.

Karni Mata Temple is a Hindu temple of Karni Mata from Bikaner. There is a ropeway available but I took the stairs. The view was breathtaking and watching sunrise with scattering lights in winter is another level experience . After spending 2 hours I left for Gangaur ghat as it was at walking distance from my hostel.

Gangaur Ghat

Gangaur Ghat is a popular destination of celebration of large number of cultural festivals like Gangaur, The Jal-Jhulni Gyaras, or Jal-Jhulni Ekadashi and many more events. Now a days famous for pre-weddings.

I visited this place in morning because there was less crowd and no noise. Enjoying the view of lake Pichola and

Day: 2 itinerary

Rayta hills

This is off beat place near Udaipur, you will hardly find this place in people’s itinerary but if you want to experience a beautiful sunrise between valleys and roads like snakes then place place should be in your bucket list.

We woke at 4 am and leave for this place around 5 am, always ask locals for this place and cross check with 2-3 people because google map may not be accurate. Find the beautiful view in view images.

Note: Please make sure that your Scooty have sufficient petrol as there are no petrol pumps near by.

Bahubali Hills aka Badi lake

From Rayta you can leave for Bahubali hills, please keep in mind while asking for road ask Badi talab as they do not know Bahubali hills, we asked bahubali hills and nobody was answering and we were surprised why they do not they this famous place, but later we found that locals call it badi talab, you can show them photo to avoid confusion.

This lake is one one-time visit, I did not find it worth going there, overcrowed by wedding photographers and the place is very step and there are chances to fall down.

yes it’s photo-worthy but not at the cost of life. If you are not planning to go Rayta Hills then reach early morning here to escape from crowd.

Saheliyon ki Badi

It was built from 1710 to 1734 by Maharana Sangram Singh for the royal ladies so that they could enjoy with their friends and maids. It has beautiful gardens and flowers especially Bougainvillea

You can take guide to know more about it. The guide fee for saheliyon ki badi is ₹300

You can visit this place in afternoon after coming back from Bahubali hills and having lunch.

Fateh sagar lake

You can enjoy boat ride, camel ride, cycling and many water activity, also you can enjoy fast food at Chopati.

For sunset you can enjoy from here but I would recommend to go to Ambrai ghat.

Ambrai ghat

The beautiful and clam ghat where you can sit and forget all of your stress. People do come here to sketch and writing.

I visited this place once in afternoon and once in evening, in noon there crowd is less so you can sit put your legs in water and enjoy the city palace view.

Ambrai ghat timings: 5:30 AM to 7:30 PM but try to go before 6 to take entry.

Back to home

If you have flight or train at night you can leave for your home or you can enjoy dinner at some beautiful place and can leave early morning
